Art McQuiddy
was an eye witness to the 1947 UFO
Crash at Roswell.
He was editor of
the morning newspaper in Roswell at
the time of the incident and was
also a close personal friend of the
commanding officer of the base, Col.
William Blanchard.
|
Charles Fischer is the publisher of the Roswell Daily Record, the local newspaper. Jerry talks with him about covering the news with a UFO beat which is unusual for newspapers and how and why he came to Roswell. Fisher also tells Jerry about his friendship with Art McQuiddy, who is 91 now and was not only the editor of the newspaper when the 1947 crash happened but also was friends with many of the military people there including Col. William Blanchard the commander of the base as well as later becoming friends with Glenn Dennis, one of the founders of the UFO Museum and who worked at a funeral home there and was asked for information about children's caskets and lost his fiancee' who was an Army nurse and was there for the alien autopsy. She was moved out quickly and some say he was later told she died in a plane crash. CLICK HERE to listen. |
