Polling shows that Obama will win and we will know if that is true by 8:30 or 9:00 Eastern, we can tell by how the votes come tumbling in, how the trends are and what to look for in the West. If McCain is going to run a close race or win against all the odds set up by polling, then we will know that early on as well and if that happens it cold be 5:00 in the morning before a winner is declared or we might even have a repeat of 2000...
But odds are..it is a landslide for change..if the polling is correct. Stay tuned; we will know pretty darn soon.

![]() A Long Day Coming and Gone
by Jerry Pippin
(Midnight Eastern) 10-30-08)- President Bill Clinton started early Wednesday morning in Pennsylvania and Senator Barack Obama started in North Carolina and the day was long but it probably went fast for these two icons of the political world. The cold Florida night did not dampen the enthusiasm that both men showed on stage together. Just a few short months ago, Obama fans were pointing fingers at the former President saying he was playing "dirty politics" by helping his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton. It seemed fitting that these two men were pushing the envelope on campaigning. ..but it was paying off as far as this crowd was concerned in Florida.
Earlier Obama and his Vice Presidential Joe Biden were at a rally that was part of a national TV show on several networks bought and paid for my the Obama campaign. The loyal opposition, Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska and Senator John McCain had their own strong audiences today in Florida. Palin had a rally with an opening act that is well received in Southern Florida, Hank Williams, Jr. and Senator John McCain chose to be among friends today, but he did launch into an attack on Obama for spending a small fortune on TV time. McCain appeared in Tampa with the military command for the Mideast and talked about National Security and earlier he was in little Havana in Miami, another strong hold for Republicans.
Most pollsters are reluctant to say that Florida will go for Obama, but the momentum is there and it looks like this last five days will be much the same as today, none of these candidates are planning on a long lunch hour or a leisurely dinner, time is running out for campaign 2008.

McCain Calls Obama's TV Program A Lie (10-29-08) Senator John McCain held a press conference to try to steal the thunder from an unprecedented TV campaign by Senator Barack Obama which involves a network buy on most TV nets for a half hour info commercial. McCain used the occasion to charge that Obama is not a man of his word and broke the pledge of obeying the campaign finance laws. Obama's campaign has raised record amounts in donations. |
NEITHER RAIN NOR SLEET NOR SNOW WILL KEEP THE ..er..candidate from your doorstep. (October 28, 2008) - Snow in Western Pennsylvania, bitter cold rain fell as Barack Obama told a huge rally of supporters he needed Pennsylvania to win next Tuesday in the race for the Presidency. When he said he was going to cut his speech short due to the rain, the crowd said no way and he continued his stump speech.
John McCain and Sarah Palin lucked out in Hersey, Pa. this morning as the sun was still out as Mrs. Palin opened the rally to an enthusiastic crowd and McCain followed her saying he was going to come from behind and win next week. Meanwhile Vice Presidential candidate Senator Joseph Biden lucked out with an assignment in Ocala, Florida telling the crowd, Obama was the one for lower taxes for the middle class not McCain. |
R. Barclay Surrick, Federal Judge in Philadelphia has dismissed the case filed by Philip J. Berg, an attorney who alleged that Barack Obama's birth certificate was forged and that he was born in Kenya instead of Hawaii. On motions by the National Democratic Party, Senator Barack Obama and by the Federal election commission that the law suit did not have standing in that court, the motion to dismiss was granted on October 24, 2008. |
McCain Says, "I Am Not George Bush"(10-26-08) On Meet the Press just over a week before the Presidential election Senator John McCain says that President George Bush failed in many ways as his campaign tries to distance himself from the last eight years. CLICK HERE for video of interview.

Obama puts Family First,
Ahead of Winning Election!
(10-20-08) Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama is canceling nearly all his campaign events Thursday and Friday to fly to Hawaii to visit his suddenly ill 85-year-old grandmother, his spokesman said. Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, who helped raise him, was released from the hospital late last week. But he said her health had deteriorated "to the point where her situation is very serious."
Obama was expected to resume campaigning on Saturday, though the campaign was unsure where. Obama events originally planned for Madison, Wis., and Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday will be replaced with one in Indianapolis before he makes the long flight to Hawaii. |
